Today didn’t seem like much of a day when I rolled our of bed. But sometimes a day you think started out like crap turns out to be pretty damn good. This was one of those days.

After turning on my laptop, I checked to see how my single story was doing at Amazon. Then,my half-closed eyes opened wide. My story “Bitte was? An American author’s misadventures in the German language” landed in the top 10% of all Kindle paid books in the Amazon catalog. I was so excited, I wrote a press release! I wanted to tell the whole world! I never thought I’d get rich writing single stories, but I thing this first go around is something to be proud of. It just another avenue to share my words with the world.
